Who you are buying from
The contract of sale is with Tebex Limited, not with us. Tebex act as merchant of record: they charge your card, issue the invoice, hold the transaction under English law and process any refund. In their words, no contract is formed between you and the store itself.
Their baseline is that a purchase is final: "except where required by applicable consumer law, this transaction is final there are no refunds". This page does not override that and cannot. What it does is tell you the cases where we will ask Tebex to refund you, and they act on that request.
Refund requests reach us fastest through our Discord. You can also raise one directly with Tebex, and for a payment dispute that is the right address.
The short version
We hold the same line Tebex do. A purchase is final, and there is no goodwill refund on top of it.
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Changed your mind | Final, no refund |
| Key not used yet | Final, no refund |
| Key already bound to a server | Final, no refund |
| Waiting on a fix | Final, and the fix is free anyway |
| Software does not do what the store page says and we cannot fix it | Refunded |
| The law of your country gives you a right | Whatever that law requires |
| Chargeback filed | Licence revoked |
Only two things unwind a purchase: a product that genuinely does not do what it was sold as, and a right your own law gives you. Everything else is final, including buying the wrong module by mistake. This is deliberate, it matches the terms you agree to at checkout, and it is stated here before you buy rather than discovered after.
So read the package before you pay. Every module lists what it contains on its store page, the documentation is open and complete, and we will answer any question about a module in our Discord before you spend anything.
Why delivery matters
This is digital software delivered immediately. The key is issued the moment the payment clears, and from that point the thing you paid for is in your hands. It cannot be returned in any meaningful sense, which is exactly why digital purchases are treated as final.
Our system records whether a key has ever been bound to a server, so if a question ever turns on whether the software was actually used, that is a fact we can check rather than a judgement call.
Statutory withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase of digital content, counted from the purchase or from the moment you first download the content, whichever is sooner. That right ends once performance has begun with your prior express consent, which is the consent you give at checkout when the key is issued to you.
This is Tebex's rule, set out in their terms, and ours says the same thing. Where the law gives you a right neither of us can exclude, that law wins over both pages.
It does not work
If the software genuinely does not do what the store page and the documentation say, tell us before asking for a refund. Most reports turn out to be a module that never started, a start order problem, or a conflict with another resource, and are fixed in minutes.
If we cannot make it work on a supported setup, you get your money back. This is the one case we refund on our own account, and we refund it because the software failed to be what it was sold as, not as a favour.
Fixing it costs you nothing either way. Every update to a module you own is free, so a bug being fixed next week is not a bill and is not, on its own, a reason to unwind the purchase. If the fix never comes, the paragraph above applies.
What is not a defect
- Your own scripts, other resources or hosting misbehaving.
- Something listed under What it does not do in the documentation. Body deformation, glass break and persistent tyre tracks are absent by design and are stated before purchase.
- A roadmap item not shipping yet. The roadmap is a plan, not a promise.
- The software being sold as it is. It is written for a platform with no car support at all, and the terms say plainly that it is not promised to be flawless. A defect we can reproduce gets fixed for free; a wish is not a defect.
- Not liking the handling. Every physics value is tunable and documented in the handling guide.
Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback instead of asking gets the licence revoked and closes the door on support. Because Tebex are the merchant of record, the dispute lands with them and they handle it, so going to your bank is slower than asking us and it ends the conversation. Ask first. We are reachable and we would rather sort it out.
